As a little girl Kewanna loved her hair being styled in little bows and barrettes. 

Kewanna grew up closely with her favorite cousin. They were often dressed alike and their hair was styled alike.

Around the age of 11 and 12 years old, Kewanna began styling her cousin's hair while her mother was away serving in the military. Kewanna was allowed to style her own hair (without the use of heat) so Kewanna noticed there was a big difference in the versality of styles able to be done on her own hair. Kewanna desired healthy, long, and beautiful hair.
